This Privacy Policy explains how WONDER WANDER ("WONDER WANDER", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit wonderwander.com and play in our worlds. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

WONDER WANDER is an online social world and exhibition platform. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@wonderwander.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information. When you register we collect your email address, a password (stored only in hashed form — we never store it in plain text), a nickname, your first and last name, and your country.
• Guest play. You can enter as a guest without an account. In that case we only use an optional display name you choose and a temporary session — no registration details are collected.
• Gameplay data. To save your progress we store your character appearance, inventory and in-world currency, your position in a world, and chat messages you send in public chat.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or an "Exhibit with us" request, we store the details you provide (such as name, email, optional phone number, and your message).
• Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address and your subscription status. Subscription is double opt-in (you confirm via a link we email you).
• Technical information. Like most online services we automatically receive your IP address and basic request logs, which we use for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting. Submissions such as contact and exhibit requests store the IP address they were sent from.
• AI characters. Some worlds contain AI-powered characters (NPCs). If you choose to talk to one, the messages you send in that conversation are transmitted to our AI service provider to generate a reply (see "Service providers" below).

3. How we use your information

• To provide and operate the worlds, your account, and your saved progress.
• To verify your email address and send essential account messages (for example, a verification link).
• To keep the service secure — detecting and preventing abuse, spam, and fraud.
• To respond to your enquiries and exhibition or event requests.
• To send the newsletter, but only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To generate replies from AI characters when you talk to them.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in across our worlds (the cookie is scoped to the wonderwander.com domain). This cookie is necessary for the service to work. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.

We also use Google Analytics on our public website pages to understand how visitors find and use the site. It sets its own cookies to count visits and recognise returning browsers. These are analytics cookies, not advertising cookies. Google Analytics is not used inside the game itself. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings.

5. Email

Transactional emails (such as account verification) and the optional newsletter are delivered through our email provider. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all marketing email while keeping essential account messages.

6. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the service, and only as needed:

• Email delivery (Resend) — to send verification and newsletter messages.
• AI replies (Anthropic) — to generate responses when you chat with an AI character.
• Website analytics (Google Analytics) — to measure traffic on our public website pages.
• Hosting — our servers and database are operated on our hosting infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

7. Data retention

We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. Contact and exhibit-request messages are kept while they are relevant to handling your request. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time (see "Your rights").

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to stop sending you the newsletter. To make a request, email info@wonderwander.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law.

9. Children

WONDER WANDER is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and storing passwords only in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
